Eye Surgery Turkey Price List 2026: Every Treatment, in Your Currency
The eye surgery Turkey price for every treatment we offer, on one page: laser eye surgery, lens replacement, cataract surgery, EVO ICL, keratoconus and cornea treatment, retina and glaucoma care, and eyelid surgery. Each line shows the surgeon who leads it, whether the price is per eye or for both eyes, how long to stay in Istanbul and our starting price in pounds, euros, US dollars or Saudi riyals. Your own price is confirmed in writing by your surgeon before you pay anything.

In 2026, typical published eye surgery prices in Istanbul are about $1,450–2,700 for LASIK on both eyes, $1,100–2,700 per eye for cataract surgery and $3,400–7,000 for trifocal lens replacement on both eyes, often 50–70% below private prices in the UK and the US. With Laser Istanbul Clinic, treatment is led by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Satıcı, Doç. Dr. Muhammet Derda Özer or Op. Dr. Aysan Bayram, and starts from {{£ price}}. Prices include your examination, surgery, medication, check-ups and interpreter; hotel, transfers and flights are extra.
Eye surgery Turkey price list: our starting prices for every treatment
These are our starting prices in pounds sterling. Use the currency switcher to see euros, US dollars or Saudi riyals. Read the "Priced" column carefully: some treatments are priced per eye, others for both eyes, because that is how they are normally carried out. Which treatment suits you is decided by your surgeon after examining your eyes, never by price alone.
Our three surgeons are Prof. Dr. Ahmet Satıcı, Doç. Dr. Muhammet Derda Özer ("Doç." is the Turkish title for Associate Professor) and Op. Dr. Aysan Bayram. You know who will operate on you before you book.

Why eye surgery cost differs from one patient to another
The cost of eye surgery depends on three things: the treatment, your eyes and what the price covers.
The treatment and technology
A femtosecond laser, a SMILE Pro laser and a surface laser are different machines with different steps. A trifocal lens costs more than a standard monofocal lens. A corneal transplant needs donor tissue and more check-ups than cross-linking.
Your eyes
Corneal thickness, the size of your prescription, astigmatism, cataract density and any other eye condition decide which treatments are safe for you. The US Refractive Surgery Council lists prescription complexity and technology among the reasons laser prices vary.
Per eye or both eyes
Cataract surgery is usually done one eye at a time, so it is priced per eye. Laser and lens replacement are usually done on both eyes in one trip, so we price them for both eyes. When you compare quotes, always check which basis is used.
What is in the price
A low headline price that leaves out scans, check-ups or medication is not cheaper in the end. We quote one written price per treatment, with every inclusion spelled out.

- Travel insurance
- Anything not written in your quote. If your eyes need something extra, it appears in your written quote before you pay a deposit.

If you live in the UK: eye surgery cost UK vs Istanbul (GBP)
Laser eye surgery and lens surgery are not usually offered on the NHS, so most UK patients pay privately for them. Cataract surgery is available on the NHS, but at the end of July 2026, 620,931 people in England were waiting for NHS eye treatment and only 72.9% had waited less than 18 weeks, against a 92% standard. NICE also advises the NHS not to offer multifocal lenses in cataract surgery, so premium lenses mean paying privately.
| Treatment | Typical UK private price | Istanbul with us |
|---|---|---|
| Femto-LASIK, both eyes | £3,000–5,600 | from {{£ price}} |
| SMILE / SMILE Pro, both eyes | £4,400–7,600 | from {{£ price}} |
| Trifocal lens replacement, both eyes | £6,000–11,000 | from {{£ price}} |
| Cataract surgery, monofocal, per eye | £2,500–3,500 | from {{£ price}} |
| Corneal cross-linking, one eye | about £1,700–2,400 | from {{£ price}} |
| Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) | £2,000–6,000, plus consultations and follow-up (NHS figure) | from {{£ price}} |
UK clinics often quote laser per eye, which can make a headline price look like half the real cost of treating both eyes. Our laser and lens-replacement prices are always for both eyes.
If you live in Germany or elsewhere in the EU (EUR)
German statutory health insurance treats laser eye surgery as elective and does not pay for it. It covers cataract surgery with a standard lens, while a premium lens is paid privately. Typical German private prices for both eyes are about €2,400–4,600 for Femto-LASIK, €2,800–5,200 for SMILE and €5,800–9,000 for trifocal lens replacement. Our EUR prices: {{€ price}} in every row of the table above.
If you live in the USA (USD)
The US Refractive Surgery Council puts the national average LASIK price at $4,492 for both eyes, about $2,250 per eye (June 2026). Medicare Part B may cover cataract surgery with a conventional lens; after the Part B deductible you pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount. Premium lenses such as multifocal, EDOF and toric lenses are generally paid out of pocket, which the American Academy of Ophthalmology says can exceed $1,000. Our USD prices: {{$ price}} in every row of the table above.
If you live in Saudi Arabia or the Gulf (SAR)
The Saudi riyal is pegged at SAR 3.75 to the US dollar, so the Gulf figures above equal roughly SAR 6,000–14,250 for LASIK, SAR 10,700–11,700 per eye for monofocal cataract surgery in the UAE and about SAR 30,000–32,600 for trifocal lens replacement. For laser alone the saving is small, so most Gulf patients come to Istanbul for premium lens surgery, keratoconus treatment or retina care. A female surgeon, Op. Dr. Aysan Bayram, is available on request. Our SAR prices: {{SAR price}} in every row of the table above.
Why eye surgery is cheaper in Turkey
- Lower running costs, same equipment. Istanbul eye surgeons use the same laser platforms and lens brands found in London, Munich or Dubai, such as the Zeiss VisuMax for SMILE and femtosecond lasers for blade-free LASIK. The difference is the cost of healthcare in Turkey, not the technology.
- Bundled versus itemised prices. Some providers bundle a hotel, transfers or re-treatment into the price; others charge for them separately. Compare what is actually inside the price.
- Per-eye versus both-eye quotes. A UK "from" price for laser is often per eye; most Istanbul laser prices are for both eyes.
- Exchange rates. If you pay in pounds, euros, dollars or riyals, currency movements change the real cost. Your quote states the currency you pay in: {{quote currency}}.
A lower price only makes sense when the essentials match: a surgeon you can name and check, full pre-operative tests, a properly equipped operating theatre and a clear aftercare plan. Your surgery takes place in a fully equipped, Ministry of Health–licensed operating theatre in Istanbul.
Eye operation charges for the most-searched treatments
How much is droopy eye surgery?
Droopy eye surgery cost depends on the cause. A drooping upper lid caused by a weak or stretched lifting muscle (ptosis) is repaired by tightening that muscle and is priced per eye, from {{£ price}} with Prof. Dr. Ahmet Satıcı. Heavy, hooded skin above the eye is treated with upper blepharoplasty, priced for both eyes. Some patients need both in one operation; your quote shows which. In the UK, NHS policies (for example in Cheshire and Merseyside) pay for ptosis surgery when the lid impairs vision, not for cosmetic reasons, so many people pay privately.
How much is under-eye surgery?
Under-eye surgery cost, for eye bags, means lower blepharoplasty: fat is removed or repositioned through a cut just below the lashes or inside the lid. The NHS puts the UK cost of blepharoplasty at £2,000–6,000, plus consultations and follow-up care. With us, lower blepharoplasty starts from {{£ price}} for both eyes, and many patients combine it with upper eyelid or lens surgery in the same trip. Plan to stay until your stitches are removed, usually 5–7 days.
How much does EVO ICL cost?
EVO eye surgery cost covers the EVO Visian ICL, a lens placed inside the eye in front of your own lens to correct short-sightedness, without removing any corneal tissue. The US FDA approved the EVO/EVO+ Visian ICL on 25 March 2022 for short-sighted adults aged 21–45. Typical published prices are about $1,800–3,500 per eye in Istanbul, compared with $3,500–9,000 per eye in the US. With Prof. Dr. Ahmet Satıcı, EVO ICL starts from {{£ price}}.
How much is cataract or lens replacement surgery?
Cataract surgery is priced per eye, from {{£ price}} with a monofocal lens; a toric, EDOF or trifocal lens costs more because the lens itself costs more. Refractive lens exchange (the same operation done to reduce dependence on glasses, usually after about 45) is priced for both eyes. Premium lenses can cause glare and halos at night in some people, which your surgeon discusses before you choose.
Do injections and glaucoma treatment cost the same every time?
No. Anti-VEGF injections for wet macular degeneration are usually given as a repeated course, so the total depends on how many injections you need; NICE lists faricimab at £857 and aflibercept 2 mg at £816 per vial before VAT, for the medicine alone. Glaucoma treatment ranges from a short laser session to surgery, so your surgeon prices it after examining your optic nerve and eye pressure.
All eye surgery carries risks as well as benefits, and no surgeon can guarantee a result. Your surgeon explains the risks that apply to your eyes before you agree to treatment, and the price never decides which treatment is right for you.

Eye surgery Turkey price: frequently asked questions
It depends on the treatment. Typical published Istanbul prices in 2025–26 are about $1,450–2,700 for LASIK on both eyes, $1,100–2,700 per eye for monofocal cataract surgery and $3,400–7,000 for trifocal lens replacement on both eyes. Our starting prices for every treatment are in the price list above, and your surgeon confirms your exact price in writing.
Typical UK private prices are about £3,000–5,600 for Femto-LASIK on both eyes, £2,500–3,500 per eye for monofocal cataract surgery and £6,000–11,000 for trifocal lens replacement. The NHS puts blepharoplasty at £2,000–6,000. Laser and lens surgery are not usually available on the NHS.
Laser eye surgery, lens replacement and blepharoplasty are priced for both eyes. Cataract surgery, corneal treatments, retina and glaucoma surgery and ptosis repair are priced per eye, because they are often done on one eye or one eye at a time. Each row of our price list says which.
No. Hotel and airport transfers are a separate charge, and flights are not included. We can book a hotel ({{nights}} nights, from {{hotel price}}) and transfers ({{transfer price}}) for you on request, or you can arrange your own.
For laser and lens replacement, both eyes are treated during one stay of about 3–5 days (laser) or 5–7 days (lens), and the price covers both. For cataract surgery, your surgeon decides whether both eyes can be done in one trip; if so, your quote shows the both-eyes total.
Mainly because healthcare costs less to run in Turkey, not because the lasers or lenses are different. Istanbul surgeons use the same laser platforms and lens brands as Western clinics. Bundled versus itemised prices, and per-eye versus both-eye quotes, explain the rest of the gap.
Only if your examination shows that a different treatment or lens suits your eyes better, and you agree to it before surgery. Your surgeon explains why, and the new price is confirmed in writing first. If surgery isn't suitable for you at all, you won't pay for an operation you don't need.
The NHS covers cataract surgery with a standard lens but does not usually offer laser or lens-replacement surgery or multifocal lenses. US Medicare Part B may cover cataract surgery with a conventional lens; premium lenses are usually paid by the patient. Insurers rarely pay for treatment abroad, so check your own policy.
Yes. The NHS advises making sure you have appropriate travel insurance, telling your insurer about planned treatment abroad, and budgeting for exchange-rate changes, a possibly longer stay and any return trip.
