Contact options
How can I contact Laser Istanbul Clinic?
Choose whatever is easiest for you. Every channel reaches the same small team, and your messages are kept together in one patient record, so you never have to repeat yourself.
| Channel | Best for | Details |
|---|---|---|
| WhatsApp (fastest) | Quick questions, sending photos of your prescription, voice notes, a video call | {{WhatsApp number}} · [WhatsApp us] |
| Phone | Talking it through with a coordinator | {{phone number}} · [Call us] |
| Longer questions, reports in PDF, documents for your insurer or employer | {{contact email}} | |
| Contact form (below) | Sending a message with files at any time of day | Reply within {{response time, e.g. 24 hours}} |
| Video call with your surgeon | Going through the options for your eyes before you decide | Arranged by your coordinator after the surgeon has reviewed your files |
What are your opening hours, and what time is it in Istanbul?
Our coordinators answer {{opening hours, Istanbul time}}. Istanbul is on UTC+3 all year round, because Turkey stopped changing its clocks in 2016. That means Istanbul is 3 hours ahead of the UK and Ireland in winter and 2 hours ahead in British Summer Time. Messages sent outside our hours are answered the next working day, in order.
Which languages do you speak?
Our team replies in {{languages your team covers, e.g. English, German, Arabic, Dutch, Russian, French, Spanish}}. Doç. Dr. Muhammet Derda Özer and Op. Dr. Aysan Bayram speak English, so you can talk to them directly. For every other conversation, a personal interpreter joins, both on calls and at every appointment in Istanbul.

What happens next
What happens after I contact you?
You get a confirmation straight away
Through the form you see a reference number at once; on WhatsApp a coordinator picks up your message during {{opening hours, Istanbul time}}.
A coordinator answers the practical questions
Dates, how long to stay, what's included in the price and what's extra, and which documents would help.
A surgeon answers the medical ones
Your question goes to the surgeon who specialises in it. Doç. Dr. Muhammet Derda Özer sees keratoconus, cornea, uveitis and complex retina cases; Prof. Dr. Ahmet Satıcı sees lens replacement, eyelid, squint and glaucoma cases; laser eye surgery is led by Prof. Dr. Satıcı and Op. Dr. Aysan Bayram; Op. Dr. Bayram also treats retinal disease; and all three surgeons perform cataract surgery.
You get a written reply
within {{response time, e.g. 24 hours}}, in your language. If it's useful, your surgeon explains the options by video call.
You decide in your own time
There's no pressure to book. If you do, your surgeon examines you fully in Istanbul before anything is confirmed, and will tell you if surgery isn't right for you.
Every price we give you includes your pre-operative examination and scans, surgery by your named surgeon, medication, follow-up checks in Istanbul, a personal interpreter, a coordinator and remote follow-up. Flights, hotel and airport transfers are not included; we can arrange the hotel and transfers for you at an extra cost.

After your surgery
I'm already a patient. Who do I contact after my surgery?
Contact your own coordinator first, on the WhatsApp number you were given in Istanbul, or on {{aftercare WhatsApp number or "the main number above"}}. Your coordinator passes your message to your surgeon, who can review your eye by photo or video call. Send a clear photo of the eye in daylight and describe what has changed and when.
Which eye symptoms are an emergency?
Some symptoms can't wait for a message to be answered. Get urgent medical help where you are first, then tell us. The NHS advises:
| If you… | What to do |
|---|---|
| Suddenly can't see out of one or both eyes, or have sudden severe eye pain | Emergency: in the UK call 999 or go to A&E (don't drive yourself). In Turkey, call 112. Elsewhere, call your local emergency number. |
| Notice new floaters or a sudden increase in floaters, flashes of light, a dark "curtain" or shadow moving across your vision, or sudden blurring | Urgent: these can be signs of a detached retina. In the UK, call NHS 111 or get an urgent GP appointment the same day. |
| Have a red and painful eye, pain in one or both eyes, or double vision | Urgent: in the UK, call NHS 111 or ask for an urgent GP appointment. |
After that, message your coordinator with what happened and any treatment you were given, so your surgeon can follow up and share your surgical records with the doctor treating you.

Can I send my eye reports on WhatsApp?
Yes. Many patients find WhatsApp the easiest way to send a photo of a prescription or an eye report. If you'd rather not, use the upload in the form above or email us. Whichever you choose, your eye reports are personal medical information and we treat them that way:
- We use your details only to answer you and, if you go ahead, to plan your treatment.
- Your files are seen only by your surgeon and your coordinator {{confirm, and list any other role, e.g. interpreter}}.
- We never sell your data or use your medical files for advertising.
- You stay in control: to update or delete your information, write to {{privacy contact email}}.
