Your online assessment is free. Your surgeon (Prof. Dr. Ahmet Sat\u0131c\u0131, Do\u00e7. Dr. Muhammet Derda \u00d6zer or Op. Dr. Aysan Bayram) sets your price, which you receive in a written quote. You pay a deposit to secure your dates and the balance in Istanbul only after your surgeon has examined you in person. Hotel, airport transfers and flights are not included in the treatment price.<\/p>\n<p data-reveal>These terms apply to every treatment booked through laseristanbulclinic.com, in any language, by email, WhatsApp, phone or the online consultation form. The website is run by <span class=\"ph\">{{company legal name}}<\/span>, <span class=\"ph\">{{address}}<\/span> (&#8220;we&#8221;, &#8220;us&#8221;). Your written quote is part of these terms: if your quote says something different for your case, your quote applies.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qa-list\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qa-row\" data-reveal><div class=\"row\"><h3 class=\"qa-q col-12 col-lg-4\">1. Your free online assessment<\/h3><div class=\"qa-a prose col-12 col-lg-8\"><p data-reveal>Sending us your prescription, eye reports or scans costs nothing and does not commit you to anything. One of our three surgeons reviews your information, depending on your eyes and the treatment you are asking about: Prof. Dr. Ahmet Sat\u0131c\u0131, Do\u00e7. Dr. Muhammet Derda \u00d6zer (&#8220;Do\u00e7.&#8221; means Associate Professor) or Op. Dr. Aysan Bayram. We reply within <span class=\"ph\">{{response time}}<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p data-reveal>The surgeon&#8217;s reply is a first opinion based only on what you send. It is not a diagnosis. Whether a treatment is right for you can only be decided at your full eye examination in Istanbul.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qa-row\" data-reveal><div class=\"row\"><h3 class=\"qa-q col-12 col-lg-4\">2. Your written quote<\/h3><div class=\"qa-a prose col-12 col-lg-8\"><p data-reveal>After the review you receive a written quote. It shows:<\/p>\n<ul data-reveal>\n<li>the treatment, the method or lens your surgeon recommends, and whether the price is per eye or for both eyes;<\/li>\n<li>the name of the surgeon who will treat you;<\/li>\n<li>the price, in your currency (GBP, EUR, USD or SAR), and everything it includes;<\/li>\n<li>any optional extras you have asked for (such as hotel and airport transfers) with their prices, shown separately;<\/li>\n<li>the deposit, when the balance is due and how to pay;<\/li>\n<li>how long the quote is valid: <span class=\"ph\">{{quote validity period}}<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul><div class=\"list-card\" data-reveal><h3>What the treatment price includes:<\/h3><ul class=\"check-list\"><li><svg width=\"18\" height=\"18\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><use href=\"#i-check\"\/><\/svg><span>full pre-operative eye examination and scans with your surgeon;<\/span><\/li><li><svg width=\"18\" height=\"18\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><use href=\"#i-check\"\/><\/svg><span>surgery by your named surgeon, including the lens or laser treatment agreed in your quote;<\/span><\/li><li><svg width=\"18\" height=\"18\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><use href=\"#i-check\"\/><\/svg><span>medication and eye drops for your recovery;<\/span><\/li><li><svg width=\"18\" height=\"18\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><use href=\"#i-check\"\/><\/svg><span>follow-up checks in Istanbul with the same surgeon;<\/span><\/li><li><svg width=\"18\" height=\"18\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><use href=\"#i-check\"\/><\/svg><span>a personal interpreter in your language for all appointments;<\/span><\/li><li><svg width=\"18\" height=\"18\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><use href=\"#i-check\"\/><\/svg><span>a dedicated coordinator, and remote follow-up after you return home.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/div><p data-reveal><strong>What it does not include:<\/strong> flights, hotel and airport transfers. Hotel and transfers are a separate charge; we are happy to book them for you if you ask. Travel insurance is not included either.<\/p>\n<p data-reveal>Nothing is added to your price later without your agreement. If something extra is needed for your case, it is written in your quote before you pay a deposit.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qa-row\" data-reveal><div class=\"row\"><h3 class=\"qa-q col-12 col-lg-4\">3. Can the price change after my examination?<\/h3><div class=\"qa-a prose col-12 col-lg-8\"><p data-reveal>Only with your agreement. Your examination in Istanbul measures your eyes in much more detail than reports sent from home can. Sometimes it shows that a different method or lens would be safer or better for you, or that only one eye needs treatment. Your surgeon explains why, through your interpreter, and gives you the new price in writing. You then decide whether to go ahead. If you prefer not to, section 6 applies.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qa-row\" data-reveal><div class=\"row\"><h3 class=\"qa-q col-12 col-lg-4\">4. Payment and cancellation policy: deposit and balance<\/h3><div class=\"qa-a prose col-12 col-lg-8\"><p data-reveal><strong>Deposit.<\/strong> You pay a deposit to secure your examination and surgery dates: <span class=\"ph\">{{deposit amount and how it is paid}}<\/span>. Your dates are confirmed once we have received it, and we then send your booking confirmation (and a visa letter if you need one).<\/p>\n<p data-reveal><strong>Balance.<\/strong> <span class=\"ph\">{{payment terms: when the balance is due, e.g. on the day of your examination in Istanbul}}<\/span>. You pay the balance only after your surgeon has examined you in person, confirmed that the treatment is right for your eyes and explained the benefits, risks and alternatives, and after you have agreed to go ahead.<\/p>\n<p data-reveal><strong>Optional extras.<\/strong> If we book your hotel or airport transfers, <span class=\"ph\">{{when and how hotel and transfers are paid}}<\/span>.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qa-row\" data-reveal><div class=\"row\"><h3 class=\"qa-q col-12 col-lg-4\">5. How you can pay<\/h3><div class=\"qa-a prose col-12 col-lg-8\"><p data-reveal>We accept <span class=\"ph\">{{accepted payment methods and currencies}}<\/span>. <span class=\"ph\">{{who pays bank transfer and card fees, and which exchange rate applies when paying in another currency}}<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p data-reveal>Please keep the receipt for every payment. For your security: the payment details we use are the ones in your written quote. If you ever receive a message asking you to pay into a different account, do not pay. Call your coordinator on <span class=\"ph\">{{phone\/WhatsApp}}<\/span> to check first.<\/p>\n<p data-reveal><strong>Instalments and finance.<\/strong> <span class=\"ph\">{{finance or instalment option, if any; otherwise &#8220;We do not currently offer finance.&#8221;}}<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qa-row\" data-reveal><div class=\"row\"><h3 class=\"qa-q col-12 col-lg-4\">6. If your examination shows the treatment is not right for you<\/h3><div class=\"qa-a prose col-12 col-lg-8\"><p data-reveal>You never pay for an operation you do not need. If your examination in Istanbul shows that the treatment you planned, or the lens or method you chose, is not suitable for your eyes, your surgeon tells you honestly, even though you have travelled. Your surgeon may suggest a different treatment; you are free to accept it or not. <span class=\"ph\">{{policy on the examination fee and deposit refund in this case}}<\/span>.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qa-row\" data-reveal><div class=\"row\"><h3 class=\"qa-q col-12 col-lg-4\">7. Changing your dates<\/h3><div class=\"qa-a prose col-12 col-lg-8\"><p data-reveal>You can ask to move your dates at any time by contacting your coordinator. <span class=\"ph\">{{rescheduling policy: how much notice is needed, how many date changes are free, and whether the deposit moves to the new date}}<\/span>. New dates depend on your surgeon&#8217;s availability. If you have already booked flights, check your airline&#8217;s change rules before you ask, as we cannot change or refund flights.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qa-row\" data-reveal><div class=\"row\"><h3 class=\"qa-q col-12 col-lg-4\">8. If you cancel<\/h3><div class=\"qa-a prose col-12 col-lg-8\"><p data-reveal>Please tell your coordinator in writing (email or WhatsApp) as soon as you know. What happens to your deposit depends on how much notice you give:<\/p><ol class=\"timeline\" data-stagger><li><b>More than <span class=\"ph\">{{days A}}<\/span> days before your examination date<\/b><p><span class=\"ph\">{{refund A}}<\/span><\/p><\/li><li><b>Between <span class=\"ph\">{{days B}}<\/span> and <span class=\"ph\">{{days A}}<\/span> days before your examination date<\/b><p><span class=\"ph\">{{refund B}}<\/span><\/p><\/li><li><b>Fewer than <span class=\"ph\">{{days B}}<\/span> days before, or if you do not attend without telling us<\/b><p><span class=\"ph\">{{refund C}}<\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ol><p data-reveal>If you cancel because of a sudden illness, an accident or a family emergency, tell us straight away. We look at every case individually and will try to offer you new dates.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qa-row\" data-reveal><div class=\"row\"><h3 class=\"qa-q col-12 col-lg-4\">9. If your surgery is postponed for a medical reason<\/h3><div class=\"qa-a prose col-12 col-lg-8\"><p data-reveal>Your surgeon only operates when it is safe and your measurements are reliable. Sometimes that means postponing on the day: for example, if you have an eye infection or are unwell, or if your measurements cannot be relied on. Contact lenses are a common cause. They change the shape of the cornea for up to several weeks after you stop wearing them, so the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) advises leaving soft lenses out for 2 weeks, toric soft or rigid gas-permeable lenses for at least 3 weeks and hard lenses for at least 4 weeks before the measurements for laser surgery. Your coordinator tells you exactly how long to leave yours out for your treatment; please follow this advice, because measurements taken too soon can lead to a poor surgical plan.<\/p>\n<p data-reveal>If your surgery is postponed for a medical reason, <span class=\"ph\">{{policy for medical postponement: new dates, and what happens to the deposit}}<\/span>.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qa-row\" data-reveal><div class=\"row\"><h3 class=\"qa-q col-12 col-lg-4\">10. If we need to change or cancel your booking<\/h3><div class=\"qa-a prose col-12 col-lg-8\"><p data-reveal>If your surgeon cannot treat you on the agreed date, we tell you as soon as we know. You can choose new dates, and <span class=\"ph\">{{refund policy if we cancel}}<\/span>. We never change your surgeon without telling you first and getting your agreement.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qa-row\" data-reveal><div class=\"row\"><h3 class=\"qa-q col-12 col-lg-4\">11. Hotel, airport transfers and flights<\/h3><div class=\"qa-a prose col-12 col-lg-8\"><p data-reveal>Hotel and airport transfers are not part of the treatment price. If you ask us to book them, they appear separately in your quote with their own price, and <span class=\"ph\">{{hotel and transfer cancellation terms}}<\/span>. You book and pay for your own flights. Because you may need to stay longer if your surgeon advises it, choose flexible tickets where you can, and do not book your return flight before you know how many nights your treatment needs. Your surgeon confirms that you are fit to fly at your last check-up in Istanbul.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qa-row\" data-reveal><div class=\"row\"><h3 class=\"qa-q col-12 col-lg-4\">12. Travel insurance<\/h3><div class=\"qa-a prose col-12 col-lg-8\"><p data-reveal>Buy travel insurance before you travel and tell your insurer that you are going abroad for treatment, because standard policies may not cover planned treatment. The NHS treatment-abroad checklist advises this, and UK travel-health guidance (NaTHNaC) recommends cover for possible complications. A policy with cancellation cover also protects you if you have to cancel for a reason outside your control. Travel insurance is not included in any treatment price.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qa-row\" data-reveal><div class=\"row\"><h3 class=\"qa-q col-12 col-lg-4\">13. Aftercare when you are back home<\/h3><div class=\"qa-a prose col-12 col-lg-8\"><p data-reveal>Remote follow-up is included. Your coordinator stays in touch after you fly home, and your surgeon reviews your progress by video at the intervals agreed for your treatment. Before you leave Istanbul you receive copies of your surgical records and scans, so a local optometrist or eye doctor can see exactly what was done if you need to be seen in person. <span class=\"ph\">{{complication and re-treatment policy}}<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p data-reveal>If you have sudden loss of vision, a painful red eye or any other urgent problem after treatment, seek local urgent care first, then contact your coordinator. Our medical disclaimer, linked in the footer of every page, lists the warning signs.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qa-row\" data-reveal><div class=\"row\"><h3 class=\"qa-q col-12 col-lg-4\">14. Refunds: how and when<\/h3><div class=\"qa-a prose col-12 col-lg-8\"><p data-reveal>When a refund is due under these terms, we pay it <span class=\"ph\">{{refund timeframe and method, e.g. within X working days, to the account or card you paid from}}<\/span>. Refunds are made in the currency you paid in. <span class=\"ph\">{{policy on bank charges and exchange-rate differences on refunds}}<\/span>.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qa-row\" data-reveal><div class=\"row\"><h3 class=\"qa-q col-12 col-lg-4\">15. What we ask of you<\/h3><div class=\"qa-a prose col-12 col-lg-8\"><ul data-reveal>\n<li><strong>Tell us everything about your health.<\/strong> Give your surgeon accurate information about your eyes, general health, medicines, allergies, previous eye surgery and, for women, possible pregnancy. Your safety depends on it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Follow your preparation advice<\/strong>, including leaving contact lenses out for the time you are told.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Arrive on time<\/strong> for your examination and appointments, and plan your stay for the number of nights your surgeon recommends.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Follow your aftercare instructions<\/strong>, use your eye drops as prescribed and attend your remote follow-up reviews.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qa-row\" data-reveal><div class=\"row\"><h3 class=\"qa-q col-12 col-lg-4\">16. If something is not right<\/h3><div class=\"qa-a prose col-12 col-lg-8\"><p data-reveal>Tell your coordinator first; most questions can be solved quickly. If you are still not happy, email <span class=\"ph\">{{contact email}}<\/span> with your name, treatment date and what went wrong. We reply within <span class=\"ph\">{{complaint response time}}<\/span> and keep you informed until it is resolved.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qa-row\" data-reveal><div class=\"row\"><h3 class=\"qa-q col-12 col-lg-4\">17. Changes to these terms<\/h3><div class=\"qa-a prose col-12 col-lg-8\"><p data-reveal>We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
